they are owned by PIF

the ultimates are not owned by PIF

therefore riot is ok with ultimates ascending, but not falcons

Public Investment Fund. They own atleast half of Saudi football league, WWE, Newcastle United and other sports team including many esports orgs.Basically they are just a shell for Saudi government and royal family

But Valorant will be in the EWC next year, why would riot care if a team joined the league?

Riot has weird policies. They already denied FLC's from LEC

idk if it'd have to do with sportswashing or whatever comtroversial politics Saudi Arabia has

no, I believe Falcons just didn't believe in them and therefore dropped them before ascension

Riot blocked flacons attempted purchase in LEC so no it's not an issue of them believing in the roster. Rito has an issue with FLC

if riot has a problem with FLC why is the GC team allowed to compete?

because franchising has way stricter guidelines than t2/gc
Its not that Riot has an outright problem with falcons, its just that they dont pass the org vetting process they have for LEC (and presumably VCT)
