I don’t seen anything wrong with tier 1, I think they’ve mostly made correct decisions this year with the new format. Eventually they will replace the orgs that deserve it and that’s about it

Tier 2 tho, that’s a different story

I think tier 1's nature discourages tier 2 orgs to invests into the scene.

It does, it needs a rework. But franchising is not necessarily the reason for that, at least not the only one

LOL has many successful tier 2 leagues while having a much more aggressive Franchising system

T1 is fine ngl
T2 needs work but Riot did get the hint with Polaris' near death and have been taking feedback from the regions the past year.

The change of format emea is getting next year (with more "internationals" between stages) is a huge step in the right direction

then leagues will eventually consolidate until you have healthy t2 regions with big enough viewership to be sustainable (with the super cheat t3 system + premier doing a lot of the heavy lifting as t2 slots become more sparce)

Systems like https://x.com/VALORANTukn/status/1831337161217786247 will help to grow the lan-scene which valo has been lacking so far. Hopefully itll be a success in Polaris and will then be offered in other countries to give them a little boost.

Its not all bad atm. We'll see what works and what doesnt but its not like last year where it felt like they were leaving t2 out to dry.
Also 2027 is rapidly approaching and thats has a very good chance to get some t2 orgs into t1 as others get removed

Are there many who watches T2 LOL?
Also I think comparing Valorant to league is kind of a stretch.
What do you think League does great but Valorant doesn't?
