believe me bro, i was as pissed as anybody after they lost that Abyss map, but in all honesty they shouldn't have even been in the upper finals to begin with

ig it doesn't affect me that much bc i had lowered my overall expectations for them due to their performance throughout the year, to me 3rd place was already a great place to finish, even if they choked away a chance at the title to end up there

honestly disagree. even tho their peaks are amazing, they were way too inconsistent for me to expect them to keep all that up in every Champs game, at least going into the tourney. even in playoffs I expected them to lose to G2, or at most make 5th-6th, given their entire year, not just their best games

counterpoint: Stage 1 playoffs LEV was very disjointed (the postplants vs G2 made we want to pull my hair out),
Shanghai LEV is already a meme, even in Stage 2 playoffs they got wrecked in the upper final vs G2 and had to win 2 OTs to beat them in the grand final.

plus, most of their Stage 2 group stage was against teams that were struggling (100T, LOUD) or just plain ass (EG, MIBR), so i wasn't as impressed by that as their Stage 1 group stage

I think we get more lower quality games due to the high amount of teams in the tournament still. EMEA starts ascension with 10 teams, while in regions like Americas you already start with the best 6. We'll have to wait for playoffs to begin and we should be seeing higher quality stuff
