Barcelona Esports are playing the EMEA Ascension and if they win it they will become the first football based esports team to make it to Valorant Tier 1 Scene.
Would they garner a huge number of audience? due to their popularity in Football?

Yes wolverhampton is in CN region but they were franchised not promoted so that's a loop hole maybe. Even before 2024 season in 2023 EG was in collaboration with Wolves so they are technically the world champions as well

yes but it's not a pro team-owned thing, just that Messi and Aguero have ownership stakes in KRU
Barca esports is owned by FC Barcelona (obviously), Wolves CN is owned by Wolves, The Guard used to be owned by the Kroenckes who own multiple sports teams etc
