Is TenZ top 10?

He has been rated top 10 in all tournaments he's played this year and hasn't had a bad game in a while. Would you consider him top 10 itw or no? He was also top 5 in apg and top 6 in kpg at champions

vlr says hes 12th in rating at champs, and he won madrid so he should be top 10, when hes online, easily top 10, but itw prolly not

Yes, of course. People have a whitewash mechanism in their head for TenZ. It's when he has a bad game they glorify it but when he's doing good they just go silent and ignore it so people who are not really involved, don't understand the game or are real life NPCs they feel like he is just mediocre at best. Even the community gurus do this to appear smarter than they actually are because if you praise the popular guy people might think you don't have good analytical ability. You have to surprise the audience. Like "here this cornball75 guy, you've never heard of this guy but he's the best player itw. here's why. you see how much smarter I am compared to you? you've never thought of this huh." You will realize this if you watch platchat too. This is a very common denial mechanism actually.
