FNC won 100,000 for Lock-In. EG won 1,000,000 from Champs.

If you can't tell the difference, that's your problem. I'll take the 2nd option every single time

?

The topic is who had the best run, not who won the most prize money. Arguably every international determines the current best team, champions only holds the highest glory since it is the most prestigious. It is as "easy" to win champs as it is to win any masters, they both require the same criteria, which is to be the best in the world at the time. If SEN win champs, they are technically more decorated and have had the best year in terms of trophies. However, FNATIC got back-to-back international trophy wins as well as a top 4th placement. SEN will objectively have had a more inconsistent and flawed run, they literally got knocked out first round in their regional lol. So unless you're a dumbass, it's quite easy to determine FNATIC's run in 2023 is still on top, even if SEN win champs this year.

Hope this helps!

You have to weight the significance of each tournament when deciding which run is best. Not every tournament is created equal, nor is every trophy. SEN won a handful of international offseason events before the year started, but nobody cares about those trophies because their prizepool and prestige is low. Similarly Lock-In, doesn't matter as much as champs. FNC failed at the final, most important hurdle. In the grand scheme of things, people will remember who won Champs and Masters, they won't remember who got 4th or even who didn't qual.

I'll reiterate: if I had to pick a year, I would go with one that involved winning a masters and a champs worth 10x Lock-In. So would you, if given the choice.

Hope this helps!

Yeah, no one cares about them because they were invitationals? We are on the topic of international tournament that objectively decide the best team itw, not some invitational made for content. Also, love how you are talking as if FNATIC didn't win a masters? No sorry, I meant absolutely dominate a masters only dropping a single map. SEN have so far had a good year in Madrid, and Seoul (so far), but for Madrid they had to do a lower bracket run, and they only qualified for Seoul due to the fact they were in peak form during kick-off/Madrid and were able to get a 6 point head start out of any team in Americas.

They then went on to have a shit Stage 1, resulting in not qualifying for Shanghai, and then after that, have an OK Stage 2 to pull through to Champs via points. Meanwhile in 2023, FNATIC only lost a single regional match, no LOCK//IN matches, and no Masters Tokyo matches. They went flawless against EG, who in your opinion must have had a better year, since they won Champs, right? FNATIC only bummed out of Champs because they kept losing to LOUD, who was their kryptonite for some reason.

FNATIC's series record in 2023 was 24-3 (88.9% WR), only losing to TL (choking EMEA GF) and 2x losses to LOUD in Champs. SEN are currently at 20-10 (66.7% WR). Like I said, if you had actually read my post, SEN (if they win Champs 2024) will have had a better year in terms of trophies. But, no matter how SEN do in Seoul, FNATIC's run will objectively have been better, and if you disagree you are intellectually challenged.

Hope this helps, American!

You can write essays, but if you had the choice, you'd take a Masters + Champs over a Masters + Lock-In

How can you be a native English speaker, yet so illiterate? I quite literally said that if SEN win champs they will have had the better year?? I just said FNATIC's run and overall performance was better. I hate to bring in regions but jesus christ you're just yet another American allergic to education lol.
