I have not played LOL or watched any esports. Val is becoming a little stale for me, thus I was considering switching to a different game. Could somebody describe briefly how that game works?

5v5, pick hero, win fight, shoot turret

5 different roles
5 ways to kill urself
Kill turret 4x
Kill big crystal
Win

5v5 > Pick Hero > Farm > Fight for Objective > Win Team Fights > Destroy Enemy Ancient/Nexus > Win the Game
