**I would love to hear yall talking shit to me in the comments.
**This ranking is based on the overall results in all of VCTs history (2021-2024 not counting Seoul champs)
Total trophey numbers just for reminder (For me each Masters trophey = 1 pt & Lock in winners = 2 pts & Champions trophey = 3 pts)

  • AMER: Reykjavik 2021/Reykjavik 2022/Champions 2022/Champions 2023/Madrid 2024 = 8 pts
  • EU: Berlin 2021/Champions 2021/Copenhagen 2022/Lock//in 2023/Masters Tokyo 2023 = 8 pts
  • APAC: Masters Shanghai 2024 = 1 pt
  • CN: No trophey winners yet = 0 pt
    My personal rankings
Last. CN (Like what boostio said China is a new region and most of the teams are still learning, but I think they have much potential and they have very interesting playstyles. But they have obvious flaws like no having enough discipline. But they are def the underrated region among the 4)
Third. APAC (Just saying this doesnt mean anything but the current record between EMEA vs APAC is 7:8 since franchising started. On paper APAC had more wins against EMEA but APAC has a lack of tropheys and a lot of teams that are lacking success such as DFM, BLD, GE that are weaker than some of EMEA worst teams. Overall EMEA has more power houses than APAC but since the rise of GENG APAC will prove themselves someday maybe in Seoul champs)
Second. EMEA (What I said before)
Best. AMER (I am not a SEN flair but in the history of valorant AMER are constantly the best region in the world. Even tho the teams that found success in their leagues are finding troubles in seoul at the start of the year and in VCT in general they have been a good region and might be the best of them all)

I mean, I can see an argument for it but also some points against

for is How tough it is to win a single elim bracket like this and just how fun and iconic the tournament was

against, the single elim bracket is kinda making it more random in some sense and the fact that all teams get to participate lowers the prestige level significantly

I think the more random argument is kinda eh

Like the best teams at the time made it to the playoffs
(NAVI are shite now but they had just won copenhagen the year before, and came 4th at champs. plus they had a roster change)
(DRX were arguably at their peak just off of a 3rd place finish at champs)
(FNC went on to win the next tournament, so even if you say lock//in was a fluke they proved that they're a good team at the next LAN)
(Loud's core had literally won champs the year before, they also had roster changes)

The random argument does makes sense in my opinion, since LOCK IN replaced one of the masters event i will be comparing it to masters tokyo.
Which one is harder to train in
Playing against 33 teams, having a chance to play against one of the 32 teams, and then having to play against one of the 15 team.
Playing against 8 teams
