this doesn't mean Leo isn't a great player at all. It just means that maybe the team needed a mental reset, and a change was the perfect environment for that to happen. Bringing any pro into t1 regardless of how good they are means that each player needs to take on a bit more responsibility whilst the new player adjusts, so I think it was a sort of wake up call for everyone on the team.

I hate how everyone only appreciated leo once he left guild. Leo sayf trexx with even one other semi decent player is an unstoppable team. I still mourn the loss of that trio to this day.
