Hi there, even though I'm European it's easy to say that NA is currently the best region out here. Do u guys think it's due to the fact that most tier 2, tier 3 or even tier 1 (such as nitr0) cs pro players switched to valorant? And how long will it last? Feel free to speak your mind.

The number of NA players that mattered in cs and switched to valorant is much greater than those who have done it in EU. Most of tier 2,3 eu players sticked with cs.
I think its to early to says which region is best. Only Champions would tell that. Besides that, many americans have winner mentality that many eu countries lack. This + previously experience is a huge boost. I think next year Europe will show what they got. For now, i rate NA and KR as strongest regions in the game

a lot of the pros have said that NA ranked is much better and that stable individual pracc probably helps a lot

Why would EU CS want to switch to Valorant? You only go to valorant if you get washed up or if there's no orgs hiring. If your still on top why throw that away?

Because the Valorant will be better than CS in a future. Thats why i said they will switch too late. The CS tired players also are welcome in this game.

Well of course you mean why switch right now. You're right in that, there's no point in switching to a different game when you're the top at the one you're currently playing.
I'm thinking he probably meant as Valorant will eventually get bigger than CS (hopium) in the future.

People play what they enjoy. Quake was declining since forever but Cooler and Rapha kept playing Quake until today when there's barely any players left OR WC3 players like MooN still competiting in WC3 even iof there's lacks of tournaments and viewership. As long as CS and it's events exists, there is no point in switching. The current form of CS is way healthier than it was when 1.6 was killed by GO in 2012

like in real sports and life at the end of the day it comes down to money. if/when valorant teams are offering more money and better opportunities they will all switch. thats currently the case in NA and not EU. if youre in NA you either play for liquid/eg or have to move to EU and eg's future in NA isnt looking promising.

I definitely agree with you. It's nice to see fresh blood being developed in the scene and trying their best to prove themselves in every other game.

Well just to clarify, at point EG and Liquid have almost moved to EU since most of cups and events take place in Europe. Nonetheless you're right, it all come down to money.

On a serious note can you elaborate on what you mean?
Quake/arena games have lowered playerbase, lack of tournament. You can tell most of the players have at least 15-20 years of experience and rarely any young guns. Same with WC3.
All three games are 20 year olds too so it's a nice comparison

i dont see the problem its currently whats happening right now. all those pros are just cs/ow players. the current pros who are good enough will keep their jobs on tier 1/2 teams. if youre a new player and youre good you will get noticed and an opportunity the overall skill level will just increase.

What I am pointing out brother is that esports is looked at as more of a career now than a passion. Schools now have esports programs and talk about the opportunities it holds. People are looking to make a career out it. Passion factors in less than before. Only reason many CS pros haven't switched is because they are older and usually started younger on CS so they developed a passion for it. Younger generations are more inclined to think of it as a job or career than a passion. We are from from the days of regional LAN tournaments with 100 dollar prize pools. Hope this helps clarify.

The reason why EU is 2nd best region in my opinion, its because the comms, you can barely hear any1 speaking english when playing EU ranked, I I watch SEN SicK twitch streams and i hear english speaking sometimes 5/10 games in EU ranked. and that's a disadvantage, how teammates properly communicate. someone speaking spanish, turkish, germany, and no one speaking english

Frankfurt 1 is full with turkish player and they cant speak good english.
