it was one of the original reasons for the 2nd amendment. during the american revolution there was a shortage of weapons, so the 2nd amendment made sure that if the people wanted a rebellion they would be armed and prepared. there are some patriotic people, but then there are a lot of people who despise living here. like i know some people that think their life would magically be better if they just moved to a different country.

There really isn't a fear of guns or even a shooting at a school for that matter. Ion want to be that guy, but even though it happens more than other countries, 99% of people have never experienced gun violence or been in a conflict using guns. Because of this, there really isn't a fear of guns both in schools and out. The only time there is a fear of guns is in really low income neighborhoods. Because barely any people experience gun violence, it isn't seen as a fear for them, so they want to keep their guns mostly for recreational use, collecting, etc. We will never have a complete ban on guns because people want there guns, and it is a violation of the 2nd amendment.

We understand it is a problem, but it's not like whenever we go to school or outside we are scared that we would get shot up. Unless you live in a really poor neighborhood where gun violence is prevalent, people aren't scared that they would get shot up if they go outside. In most of the population there is no fear.
