Hello beautiful people of VLR, hope all is well with you!

Here are some questions I had, any answer appreciated :D

What's the deal with platchat? So I've never watched it but I'm curious as to what the appeal is.
From what I gather it's desk/comm from VCT doing a podcast?
What kind of stuff do they talk about?
Is it worth it as opposed to watching other ex-pros for example who would have more game knowledge?
Or is it for a comedic appeal idk if they're funny or something?

Also I have my doubts because I heard Dryad is a member and she is queen of misinformation grrr

It’s mainly bren sideshow mimi and Wyatt, dryads only been on a couple times. Its pretty good for mainly NA and Emea people

1. Don't diss Dryad.

3. They have good enough insight from behind the scenes but overall they talk about shit thats going on in the scene
4. They have good enough game knowledge, and occasionally they have coaches on so

plat chat is fun to watch for me ngl, stupid takes will be there of course but that's why its fun. they got hilarious moments all the time so its enjoyable to watch when you dont just want raw explanations and analysis on games

Plat Chat is pretty much a podcast where they bring in professional VCT people (casters, analysts, people on the desk, etc.) to talk about the latest stuff in VALORANT. They have a segment for each region (expect CN because they can't find anyone who speaks English and watches every CN game), usually starting with Pacific and ending with Americas. Sometimes they'll bring in a guest speaker, who's usually someone else from the VCT desk crew (e.g. Dryad) or a coach/player from a tier 1 team (e.g. FNS, d00mbr0s). They are also very funny and enjoyable to watch.

Usuals on the show include: Sideshow, Bren, Wyatt, Mimi, Balla, TMV, Sliggy, Goldenboy, Achilios, Paperthin, and Will Chobra

It's less nerdy and more surface level talking about the players and teams stuff, unless you bring in coaches
