why does moving teams have to equate to ambition? sen are already going through some pretty significant changes that drastically alter the dynamics as compared to last year but with the continuity of staying with a coach who’s system he’s very familiar with.

i personally actually wanna see okeanos on this team somehow just to bring the shit talking back to the sen brand

posted 1 month ago

give me sen okeanos and they will be pulling a slt seongnam every game

i would argue non champs teams need that much time to not only give players and coaches rest but to have enough time to reevaluate or rebuild their teams if need be. offseason events start by november which gives them opportunities to get into one or two of them and get reps in. if they dont make use of their offseason, that's on them.

posted 1 month ago

it is NOT unnecessary nor is it a long offseason LMAOO

posted 1 month ago

yeah they both already experienced the success that alot of teams will never experience in their lifetimes <3

tbh tho his util NEEDS to be at the level of those players, so many winners and contenders have a player that are so util centered that they almost solely play recon initiators. either get sacy to mentor him or get another player that is natural to it

you play a movie/tv show soundtrack you like and imagine yourself in a movie montage locking in while you actually do the work

posted 1 month ago

hot take, but i think ohne should only stream the final 3 games of each international AT THE MOST. if he streams more val than that, the novelty of him being new to the game and showing this much emotion is gonna wear off real quick.

if this champs has taught us anything, sen genuinely need a dedicated sova/recon player

you are comparing an esport (which esports as a whole is widely considered unsustainable) to traditional sports that have college funding and and decades worth of sponsors to back up their system as well as fanbases large enough to bring in added revenue. fully funding tier 2 would cost nearly the same amount they spend on tier 1 but with way less return of investment due to lack of engagement compared to the top leagues. while i agree that tier 2 should be improved to incentivize investment, the whole point of any tier 2 system is to develop talent to get into tier 1 not make a job out of it. that would make val esports even more unsustainable than it already is and would die even quicker

posted 1 month ago

better than coming up with a response that acts as if they are done making changes when they clearly said this is the set up to even more changes the following year but cannot implement yet bc they still have to honor their contractual agreement with the current cycle of vct

posted 1 month ago

i would prolly wait to see how it unfolds, bc they emphasized that this is just part of the changes they are going to make for the next era of vct. we dont have the full picture yet so their will obviously be gaps and questions but this is far from the final form of their new structure

posted 1 month ago

funding a tier 2 league to sustain itself is absolutely not what we want

posted 1 month ago

2026 is meant to be the transition period. its introducing a bunch of the changes that they are able to do within their current partnership agreements but there will be even bigger changes that will be implemented to make it fit better than it will this upcoming year

posted 1 month ago

idk if u know this, but every vct regular season host city got a champs of their own, so it stands to reason shanghai will too

posted 1 month ago

an NA event happened literally just a few months ago and we are not the only part of the world that has a market for valorant. i think its less of a no brainer tbh

laundry appreciation moment for making a wholesome appreciation thread on vlr

posted 1 month ago

i could be wrong but i feel like the start time is accounting for all the pregame stuff they announced for the whole weekend, at least thats what im hoping

posted 1 month ago

ngl the sen core need a more recon oriented player than n4rrate or just make him one trick it forever. hes a great flex player but almost all contenders have a player thats put in like a million hours on sova alone and is util based enough to execute proper gameplans, cause god forbit we get jumpscared with another johnqt recon map

posted 1 month ago

how did yall go from starting a discussion about raw aim to using trophies and accomplishments as reasons for the rankings LMAOOO

posted 2 months ago

almost as if game sense and strategy takes precedence over aim. shocking

posted 2 months ago

wouldnt the roles clash with johnqt and less

posted 2 months ago

tbh i think this bleeds into their roles still on a handful of the maps they just don’t fit together at all for some comps on too many maps in the pool for them to be real contenders

posted 2 months ago

i wouldnt say the icebox comp very relevant rn especially since its being repaced by abyss for champs. the bigger questions would be what would their abyss look like now or even bind when they havent played those maps since bangkok

not all memea fans but somehow always a memea fan that is the most insufferable human in this site

posted 3 months ago

i’d rather they change the meta less often than get rid of champs points

matter of fact just bring the first global event back to 3 per region , make LCQ for each global event and bring the top 2 t2 teams in each LCQ for each stage

posted 3 months ago

real, we need more personality in this league that actually makes fans want to align with certain teams like look at how much ppl wanted wolves to make champs now that siufatt became such a showman

nice bait

i hard agree on the new game modes sentiment but they DID address ranked problems in the dev update from 2 months ago as well as a lot of soft statements about ranked rewards and game modes when tarik interviewed both leo and anna at the toronto grand finals

ok mr virgin islands

posted 3 months ago

i dont find it all that bad considering it actually rewards teams that have been good throughout the year as opposed to a fluke hot streak that happens through lcq

literally everything you just praised fns for doing, tenz has also gone on the record on stream doing also as well as numerous tweets that have suggested things to add to the game and lengthy comments of the issues about tier 2 to bring to light things everyone else has already talked about before. he’s even praised some of the changes that he thinks are more beneficial to the game’s competitive integrity LMAO so if anything you’re just choosing to ignore his actual criticisms

posted 3 months ago

you can’t call tenz dispassionate when he’s actually uses his platform to voice his criticisms about the game and legit makes riot notice enough to actually do something, and every time he says something yall just say he complains too much

posted 3 months ago

this is the real answer as of rn

posted 4 months ago

u mean the 2023 where he got injured and sick and on top of that his fiancee got diagnosed with cancer?? that 2023?

posted 4 months ago

were none of yall around before franchising when g2 waved a flag on a plane that said "FUCK SENTINELS" LOL

posted 6 months ago

there is no one way to appreciate your favorite players or teams. fan expression grows naturally in ways you may or may not like. there will always be downsides to them but by discouraging one way you end up alienating that part of the fanbase entirely and losing fans for any esport is never a winning battle.

and just so we’re clear

idk who you’re calling frauds my guy LMAO i been here since the days where TSM and Sentinels were the biggest rivalry in valorant right around the Faze Invitational. if you wanna stick to APAC references for “kpop” continuity, it sounds like you forgot about korea’s first hope in NUTURN who made the first international event in reykjavik. i’m well aware

posted 8 months ago

if this was about issues of racism sexism or any real form of hate crime within the community i would agree, but im convinced anyone who complains about the “kpopification” of vct doesn’t actually care about those types of things and is just angry that the vct community doesn’t fit the alpha male sports stadium type of crowd that you’ve come to expect from sports events

you are so obsessed with this idea of becoming some analyst pioneer to the point where your work amounts to nothing but a pretentious publicity stunt that shines light on arguably one of the lowest priority issues in the val esports scene. take some accountability for once in your life and own up to what you could do better. it’s not a good look to destroy your own image in the eyes of a community you so desperately wanted to be behind your ideas

quite possibly the most entitled post ive ever seen and im here for it
