1- league by itself is a really hard game, very high skill ceilling, a master player in season 6 is equal to a plat player today, everyone is getting better.

2- the game keeps changing every 2 Weeks, you play around the meta, you have to adapt, if you think yay is fucked because he couldn't adopt imagine that but on a larger scale, every meta players get dropped because it's basically not their meta anymore.

3- there is MILLIONS of players all across the world, china alone has 29 servers, you see new talents every seasons, competition is INSANE

so faker had to adapt, compete, and win for 8 years straight, truly the goat

It just depends on the number of players, more people, more competition.chinese dota used to be great, but when people went to play lol, cn dota died because there was no new blood. if there were many dota players in Korea, Korea would also win a champ.
