With too many new random maps that aren't that great, and agents that no one plays, Valorant will start going downhill sometime after this year's Champions.
Think the new map is quite creative, but won't save face for Val and will later be considered a joke map. But the short term hypes will always be there, but longevity.. people get bored of Val really easily. League still going strong because there's so many champions to play, but we all know Val won't become like that.
In the future, if there's way too many maps to pick from the pool, and too many agents in the pool whereas many will be useless as well, what will happen? Will they game die out or be more interesting? I think it'll get boring later in the future. Thoughts?

2023 was such an amazing and entertaining year.
But Valorant has great potential and I honestly don't see it dying out anytime soon.
I think the pro players and pro teams hype up Val more than the actual game. I could be wrong though, but just curious how this game will turn out 10 years from now.

People will still play it unless they kill the game
Nah the future of valorant looks good especially for pro players as they are basing every change basically on pro play. Only problem is the community and the content in the game but that should be created in the community itself and the last time we let them do that, lets just say it's not good (edaters and that shit). They should probably add more stuff content wise to the game and not only changes based on pros but besides that it looks decent so far (plus the game is still young give it time to grow).

that is purely anecdotal, the amount of people HOOKED on val is insane and its only because they dont rot away on vlr that you dont see them
this year is a tanked year for pro play because of bad schedule, shit map pool, stale meta for first half of year etc but next year is set up to be much better already with the schedule being changed to be less compact, breeze is gone and icebox is probably going next and changes being made to the most dull agent type
gotta say that im personally also not a fan of the new map because mid is useless, full hits to plant bomb and play from main will be constant and the overall design of both sites just aint it

I know a lot of people that play Val every day and they dont give a shit about VCT. I mean there are people that just play the game because they enjoy it

that is probably 90-95% of the player base, even when im playing in low-mid immo and I ask teams about vct they dont care because they dont watch
