I’m moving out for uni and won’t have my pc for a few months. With val releasing on console that’s sorta the last thing I needed to get me to buy a console.
But I have no clue which is better. So tell me which one you think is and why
I thought about it a bit, but an ITX pc would cost way too much, i've already spent way too much on building my current PC but its HEAVY, so I can't take it up with me until I have a place. (I'll probably be living around hotels/airbnbs until I can find one).
Also If I did build one I'd have no use for it when I do end up moving my PC, but I can still use the console on a TV or take it around with me. I've ended up going for the Xbox which should be easy enough to carry around in a medium sized suitcase.
Val releasing on console was your trigger point.... This guy's not even a real PC gamer wtf.
Anyway, I don't have much console knowledge these days. Playstation was for the weirdos back when it was 360/ps3. Now though I'm pretty sure PS clears in terms of performance; I think that's sort of the general consensus across the world. Which means they should have a higher player base, the only metric that really matters. You can look into exclusives if that's still a thing with console wars and see which games you might want to play.
yeah I was sorta thinking about it anyway but it was in the back of my head of whether I should or not, but like 70% of my gaming hours are spent on val so it defo helped convince me.
Yeah you drive a compelling point, most people have playstations now days which is probably why I'll be going back on what I said about getting an Xbox. To me exclusives are whatever ngl, I usually play multiplayer games.
Yea I can't find playerbase numbers, but the console market is 65% PS5 (quick google search). The last thing I forgot to mention was the controller. I always preferred Xbox controllers, but the controllers might be interchangeable between consoles these days idk.
Since you mainly play multiplayer tho, 100% go with the console with more players
I already have a pretty decent laptop, and even it can't even run val on 120Hz @ 1080p downscaled. + If I want to use the full potential of a big ass brick laptop with cheesy gamer branding I'd have to also carry around a monitor keyboard and mouse, which is a lot more annoying than just a console and a controller. Since most places have a TV to use already
