Now I've seen the thread, and I agree to the fact that the chat spams are simply toxic. This is just a note to all the people who aren't living in India ( I have family there).
Only 10 percent of India had access to Internet in 2011. Now 50 percent of India has access to the internet. The fact of the matter is India is a hugely underdeveloped Esports scene. I mean CS was just getting started and then forsaken happened. So the things the people who're not from India need to understand is that the 20-30 percent of people that spam (who are cringe btw) are probably 14 year old kids who've had no exposure to social life properly (The covid situation in India is quite bad, so lockdown still ongoing) and are just sat there wanting attention. Since I mod for Magnum, I've seen people from India just show up and spam "Love from India" until he acknowledges. All of this is simply the result of a hugely underdeveloped country getting their first exposure into the wider global esports scene and I expect as the scene stablizies it will get less toxic. That said right now, there are just way too many Indian kids just immaturely spamming stuff in streamers chat's that they don't even understand the impact on the streamer. This is a side effect of locking up millions of kids with no maturity or social exposure.
So, If you're from India, please think twice before you randomly chat spam. The only way this gets solved is if Initiative is taken to educate Indian kids. That's not going to happen from parents anyway since parents are adverse to gaming. Therefore it's up to the community.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk :)
