MIBR used the money that they had from Riot to invest in CS2, Instead of buying a great roster they went for the cheapest one

This should be a automatic desclassification from Franchise system, this org shouldn't represent Brazil in Valorant anymore.

I'm ashamed of what this org is!

Does anyone have any evidence for this? Or are ppl just assuming that the money was used for the CS transfers?

Not sure what the partner agreement is, but it should absolutely have a termination clause for this.

The minimum player salary serves this purpose to some extent, I dont think a termination clause would work as you cannot conclusively prove which money is riot's

You can definitely prove it, as long as enough evidence trail is left behind... money flow tracking isn't a new method of investigation for potential financial irregularities (be that illegal, or contractually defined).

Is it a complex investigation which cannot provide a definitive conclusion 100% of the time? Sure, yes... but that doesn't mean you can't have a clause around it. It's not uncommon for both corporations and governments to include such clauses (eg: money can only be used for x, y, z) when they have a deal that involves some form of funding from entity A to entity B.

Mibr have already came out to deny those claims:
https://x.com/MIBR/status/1789093098137501818

That bold claim seems very unlikely. Even Bruno Povoleri who broke the news about the mibr roster decisions in 2023 has came out to distances himself from those claim. https://x.com/brunopovoleri/status/1789133533019075052

Though I do think MIBR could be seen as "not investing enough" into their valorant division, its unlikely they are siphoning money out of it.

Damage Control, MIBR changed their roster and are doing well in CS2, winning ESL and doing great

Makes Sense they would go harder in CS2 than Valorant
