He's looking like the best viper on the planet right now, curious on how this nerf will effect the roles that he and Beyn are playing.
Will he pickup another controller to play (harbor) and leave Beyn and orb Brim/Omen duty?

I can see Harbor astra being very strong on some maps

only team I see where the nerf won't affect much is PRX; they already banned Breeze and I don't see any viper comps they have except in Icebox

I don’t think this will affect many teams other than like fpx who run viper on all 7 maps. People are acting like she’s deleted from the game she’ll still dominate breeze and icebox and be good on split lotus bind

mako has played astra alot and stax plays harbor beyn can prolly flex onto sumn else such as duelist to run double duelist comps alongside buzz so if the meta moves away from viper(not gonna happen initially) then drx are not affected since foxy9 can play kj and maybe duelist in a double duelist comp plus cypher is not completely dead yet so he might still pick that on certain maps(bind split,etc.). beyn can also play solo initiator while stax plays harbor so role issues prolly wont affect them that badly. These guys are flexible af so i see only see minor kinks in their adaptability.

I think beyn will flex onto harbour and mako back on the main smokes (astra omen). Or maybe a role shift with stax playing harbour and beyn on sova/initiators with mako playing omen or astra and buzz and foxy9 with their current roles. This is most likely. I'm certain DRX has been preparing new comps on other maps apart from ascent. Maybe the astra switch on breeze was I'm anticipation of the viper nerf but that is very unlikely.

It is really harsh on viper though. The smoke timings are now harder to manage with only one molly too. Lineups may not work as effectively with her too so a lot of her value is lost. But you might be right. The ult is still the same and the smoke usage hasn't changed, only the time it takes to put it up. And not many people actually pick up the viper smoke on maps with 2 controllers. Riot might have accidentally brought back double controller comps with this change.

??????????? Like hello not picking harbour will be the norm and single smokes they just run beyn flex but they probably still run viper most maps
