if jjk or demon slayer somehow win anime of the year 2024...
Enro321 [#4]isnt crunchyroll the only official one
isnt their awards fan voted? im talking about a thing like people from the anime industry itself being juries and voting for it
Enro321 [#6]nah then there is no anime award, could be good if it was like game awards
we need Netero-san to enlighten us about this topic🙏
turkey [#3]Bleach will deserve it, also that shit lowkey a popularity contest so solo leveling will prolly win it. Also no jjk this year

Yeah this arc the best in shonen and the goated fights start now
turkey [#16]Yeah this arc the best in shonen and the goated fights start now
Nah this arc's the worse on in bleach besides the fullbring one. Flashy fights but no proper resolutions (unless the anime fixes it)
Netero [#18]Crunchyroll awards are awful tbh, Anicorner and Anitrendz are much better. Frieren should be a lock though because it's about to be a 9.40 on MAL lol
Yeah its 9.36 now

i dont think anybody care about anitrendz and corner tho

Horrid take ngl. The anime will fix the ending but even with the ending we still had ichigo’s acceptance, new goated villains and the new bankais

I'll write out what I feel, do feel free to keep the discussion if you agree or disagree with my points. Spoilers below:
New bankais, yes, and they were mostly very cool, but they did not land decisive blows against the opponents - except Renji's and Rukia's. The top sternritters were kinda defeated, but at the same time not really. The poison guy always had a new trick up his sleeve, and the manga never wrote if those fighting him got out successfully, including Neil who dived in. The sniper-turned-angel was defeated, but he just turned into some monster, and we saw a zombie Izuru appearing to stop him. This fight, too, led to nowhere. The valkyrie and Bach? They were written to be so unstoppable they needed to have dues ex machina to actually defeat them. That's just lazy writing with no proper resolutions.
Do tell me now who were the goated villains for you, the ones who were interesting to me at least, were Bazz B and Haschwalth (with their backstory) and Sternritter I (with his imagination). For me the rest were designed to be unique but they weren't developed too much.
I'm not sure what you mean by Ichigo's acceptance, if you don't mind explaining more. For me the issue I had was Ichigo's bankai's final form. After everything you're telling me THAT was his final form? After all the training and power ups he went through to get stronger? His first fight against Bach was cool, heck even his second one was too as well, I really enjoyed reading those weekly as the chapters released, but the lack of consequences because Bach was so OP just made the efforts feel hollow - made even worse with the dues ex machina.

Those were the 3 that I consider great antagonists and having 3 great antagonists is good enough for a shonen tbh you don’t get many arcs with more than 1 or 2 great antagonists
Ichigo’s acceptance with Zangetsu/ywhach and his true zanpakuto and his final from was the perfect balance between human hollow shinigami and Quincy which was kinda the point of his acceptance of himself and taught the lesson that balance is one of the most important things in life which sat with me well
The points you brought up are great and it’s obvious we had different enjoyments of the series which is what it comes down to, it could be that I just resonate with Ichigo way more

Yeah maybe I was too ague but when I wrote the first fight I meant his mixed form, just disappointed that it didn't really result in anything. Cheers man, and thanks for the taking the time to reply.
