After seeing Pacific groups I think I have a decent idea of how NA groups will be done
Group A
NRG vs G2
KRÜ vs FURIA
Group B
LEV vs 100t
LOUD vs MIBR
Group C
SEN vs C9
EG vs winner
What we thinking?
nyto [#2]It will be LOUD-G2 NRG-MIBR to avoid matches between teams from same country.
I don’t think Riot rlly cares tbh
The reason I sad LOUD-MIBR is because I saw scrimbux of G2 and LOUD playing each other last week and I doubt that they would scrim each other if they knew they were playing
envyz [#4]LOL these groups are so EZ SEN and C9 get out of Group C, LEV LOUD out of Group B and NRG and G2 out of group A. 100T fans prepare to watch 5 matches of your team this year.
Nah but who gets in through groups and who gets in through play in
Asuna_Yuuki [#5]Nah but who gets in through groups and who gets in through play in
SEN group C9 play-in
LEV group LOUD play-in
NRG group G2 play-in
StillHD [#9]This isn't how it works. They split the teams into pools and randomly drew what group they would go to so there is no way to predict it
I know the pools and I am inferring the matchups based on scrimbux
For example, I saw G2 scrim LOUD last week which probably means LOUD isn’t playing G2 which means they have to play MIBR
Then that means NRG are left with G
I saw NRG scrim with 100t and LEV which means 100t and LEV are probably in the opposing group and are facing each other

Ah I see. SEN, C9, and EG are all scrimming each other however
Warlordwibz [#12]3 BR teams split into Group A/B/C (Loud A/B)
The 6 NA teams: have 2 on each A/B/C
LEV goes to either A/B separate from EG (Not same group as LOUD)
Kru goes to A/B that doesn't have LEV.Regional distribution.
Its a random draw
In the eyes of VCT Americas, there is no BR NA or SA
Its just Americas

3 KR teams = 3 BR teams get separated (A/B/C)
6 SA/SEA teams = 6 NA teams = 2/2/2
2 JP teams = 2 LATAM teams.
It similar and could follow Pacific. How else would u get NA watchers to give a damn and watch BR/LATAM in group B?
Selex [#6]The format announcement said teams(other than seed 1) are randomly drawn from their seeded pools. So that definitely isn't guaranteed.
the format said it will be based on previous year performances, not random

teams get sorted into pools from which they were randomly seeded in the bracket. according to fns they have done it already but they won't tell us yet.

the pro teams saw it many days ago. sen even tweeted about it.
and it's not random seeding, it's based on performances in 2023. check it out here: https://valorantesports.com/news/vct-2024-season-start-eyntk/en-gb

The region’s top team, the highest placing team at Champions 2023, will be placed in the group of 3 with a bye to the second round
The remaining 10 teams will be sorted into pools based on 2023 performance and drawn into the remaining 10 slots
It legit says what I just said. The only team that is not random is the top placing team at champs

Never said it was random seeding. Team seeds are based on 2023 performance as you said and put into pools based on those seeds. Then teams are RANDOMLY drawn from those seeded pools.

ahhh so they only group the teams with base of 2023 performances? i thought even the matchups are determined by that. mb
