sacys skye is mid so this indirectly helps sen going into the sova/fade meta as well as kayo/gekko tenz flex (might put zellsis on the gekko). all things point towards sen having a good year honestly, even though im a sen hater.

true it seems like when everyone thinks it should be their year they fuck up astronomically in some way shape or form.

Why would they fuck up after two mid years I truly think they should be over this

org decisions, team gets complacent (although i doubt it), any external factors that could affect them. who knows i think they’ll play well this year though

I think sen knows what was the bad decisions and trying to make way better decisions and I feel sen has been grinding since lcq to show new reformed sentinels that might spike to their peak . They defo have the team to that as well. Kaplan says multiple times they are grinding hard , let’s hope it pays off

It's not the decisions they make or the comps or anything game related. Imo the most important factor is the pressure they have to be the ones who save the most popular org and fans expect them to recreate Reykjavik 2021 and win everything flawlessly they just can't handle it specially zack and tenz

zekken? I would understand tenz not zekken lmao that guy is driven to win , same with sacy they wanna win a lot . I think the pressure is reduced a bit from last year cus of that mid 2023 they can defo do better now

Zekken cuz hes so young and so much is expected from him and he's slowly becoming the best player in sen so by time he's the one who is gonna be expected to carry the team.

Ofc he’s expected to good why else would sen sign him. Him also being on the duelist role makes sen look even stronger as he is great fragger for sen

deulist for sen is different than deulist for c9 for example

no im comparing teams' expectations and pressure on the teams

It does benefit them but also fucks up their bind comp which was probably their strongest map

#13

eh not really if sacy plays someone like breach it’s mostly fine

sacys breach is really good it’s defo good replacement for skye

#18

i think fade better on bind and probs will be their pick cuz of heavy raze meta and the synergy between them. fade probs will replace skye on bind. skye is probs now literally as bad as iso in the initiator class

#22
TheAceGamer30

nah fade doesn’t have flashes so it’s defo flash initiator they will use

#23

Yoru has flashes that can be played like inits (Ethan did it before)

Maybe but I do think slotting in fade for skye wont be viable. They'll most likely change up their comp to double initiator and keep double controller

i think breach is somewhat good enough to be played on some maps but im not talking about there being a good replacement for skye, there's certain aspects and adjustments they have to make now that skye's gone that'll end up affecting their gameplay. Things like pistol rounds need to be looked over bc now they won't have Skye's reliable healing, site execs with breach are not only different but harder to coordinate with a Raze engage to be as reliable as Skye's bird so that needs to be looked over too, the lack of presence of a regenerative flash will have them manage their mid and early rounds differently, etc etc.

They've made Breach work on Sunset though so its not all doom and gloom, but breaking a habit like this to develop into the new meta completely is def hard and they weren't showing that kind of adaptively last year when the double controller meta came to be. On top of allat, they also have to consider their playstyle when they aren't playing against a Skye in her meta maps.

Yep I’m pretty sure Skye will be used but not a lot compared to last year

#28

i mean we don't even know if some or even the majority of teams are willing to change their playstyle bc of how late it is into the offseason. Skye might still see a lot of play during Kick Off and SEN in particular I feel are the most likely to do just this since they found immense success of the current meta during the off season. Change is risky no matter what at the end of the day, SEN found something that worked wonders and now they're being threatened to adapt.

#29
TheAceGamer30

Yeah fair enough but they still have 2-3 weeks to adapt though

#32

compared to the 4-5 months they've been hard scrimming/winning shit with the current meta, it's not that long as you make it out to be.

I think SEN is happy about the change... I dont think it takes so much time to change the comp on split to like omen, raze, cypher, breach and fade instead of skye and viper

#33

im just getting objective here none of us really know if they really fuck with the changes rn.

If we're talking abt bind specifically i dont think Breach would work cause Skye was mainly used as a free early info gatherer where teams could just send a bird at the beginning of the round and still have 2 flashes to be used int he middle of the round.

If breach were to be used then theyd have no reliable info gatherer which makes it significantly harder. So I personally think Sacy's gonna be playing either Sova, Fade or Gekko (sleeper pick tbh low key think itd be strong) on bind

What, played a millennia ago in iceland? Metas change and viper is irreplaceable now especially on bind, theres a reason no teams play breach on this map
