Usually I save my thanks for Thanksgiving day, or when I'm on a walk with them or just a wholesome moment in general. Having loyal companions to rely on can be instrumental in this time and age, and I think it benefits everyone when one can express the appreciation they have for their friends.

In my country we don't do thanksgiving day. But I agree with your statement overall. It's very difficult to live without any friends to bounce off of when you are feeling down.
