They beat Envy, and a Vivo Keyd who cheated (mfs should've autoed loss lmao) Best NA and BR team.
Beat Liquid who hadn't lost with Nivera. That TL vs SEN series was so good.
Beat Gambit, probably the best team of all time when you think about what could've happened without the war, plus their impact on the meta w nats viper wall still being used today.
Acend countered the astra meta with that omen pick on split. They just changed meta, if the meta was the same they would still be top 3. I don't think you can blame that on Acend. Plus they still won EU Masters 1, qualed to Berlin and were still good throughout the year. They were just all in their prime -kiles
