and that is a shit argument 'oh opinion is opinion' you should not just feel like you can have a detrimental opinion to other real existing walking and breathing people simply because its an opinion. thats just wrong to try to brush over and console yourself with instead of reflecting on why you have that opinion and what it is based in.
if all you can do to defend your stance is by saying 'oh its my opinion and am i not allowed to have an opinion??' you are essentially admitting you have no clue what you are speaking about and just feel like you can say dumb shit without real reason cause of "free speech"
actually say something of value and hold ideas about something instead of just hiding behind shields to conceal your own ineptitude

I don't know if you have seen the amount of sexist and transphobic comments I have on this site that have just been backed up by the "im not transphobic its just my opinion! can't i have an opinion??"
If these people were to be in real life face to face and say 90% of the stuff they typed out they would get the shit beat out of them because they are just being the worst possible type of person. It's disgusting the behavior that people feel safe with doing because they are online. Be better
dude. There are definitely some sexist and transphobic people on this site who have said horrible things but in these GC threads I haven't really seen any but more so people saying that gc players are bad which is not sexist.
People are allowed to have their own opinion and to freely express their sexist and transphobic beliefs unless they are threatening of course. I know most people are not sexist and transphobic and the people who are sexist and transphobic get looked down on but they are allowed to belief what they want even if you disagree with them.
You can't call peoples opinions right or wrong as they are opinions and are subjective so just accept that people will always have different thoughts and opinions about different topics then you and you just need to accept that and move on.
I just think that if people are typing out statements such as "being trans is wrong" or "transgender is a mental illness", I don't think they should just be able hide behind "im not transphobic its just my opinion" at least accept the fact that you are transphobic.
I think your statement is a decent sentiment to have just my only problem is the normalization of such opinions, as they are in fact harmful. Because those type of statements are tantamount to me saying to you that 'your entire life is wrong and you being born was a sin'.
And if we are just going to move on and accept people saying things like that then it just feels like giving up on trying to make the world a more inclusive place
