of course girls also have special bonds only formed when you have pure girls teams/groups
Nah, I've played soccer (football) throughout my childhood, but the reason why those teams are described as brotherhoods is that it's just all-male teams. That doesn't mean then that mixed teams can't function on the basis that a brotherhood can't be established. It's just a connection that relates specifically to boys and men.
soccer teams are huge. in a team of just 5 people, the teams that function the best are teams that will live and die together. If you are not comfortable sharing whatever you have to share, the team will never function.
if you've ever had a close friend group you would understand that theres a special connection between "the boys" (i dont mean it as a gender but like as in "im going out to eat with the boys") that you will never achieve with anyone else.

But I do get what you're saying, as in that connection does exist, and is gendered. However, I'm still failing to see how that connection is so superior to other connections, that the only way teams can exist in any fashion, is through gender connections.

that connection just has a special chemistry that you can clearly see when playing sports or something. maybe you've never really played anything with really close friends. but im telling you from experience that it is different than playing with people who are "just friends". i think its because you just dont give a shit about anything when you play with your friends and you're in a super relaxed state where ur just having fun.
also sorry to break your bubble but men just feel more comfortable with men. and women feel more comfortable with women. there will ALWAYS be that underlying thought of potential sexual or romantic relations when you are with a person of the opposite sex because it is a primal and innate mechanism that humans as animals have.
I don't think you're misunderstanding my point. I do agree that the connection within your gender is different and can often bring you closer than other connections, but it's not like that's the only way in which people can connect. Plenty of people have close friends of other genders, and yeah I get it, that's a different thing, but for the purposes of team chemistry I don't see how a close friend connection can't be good enough.
Yeah but is it not kinda weird to suggest that male players can't live with non-male players? Like I swear some people of different genders room together in college and it works for them. Plus, it's their job, like imagine a team failing because a male player couldn't handle living around a woman, lol.
