Before the pay cut, they were probably making more in salaries per year than they won in tournament earnings

Champs 2023 bundle generated $20,000,000 dollar in earnings:

-$1,250,000 per team (Remaining $20,000,000 divided by 16 teams at champs)
-$208,000 per player ($1,250,000 divided by 5 players + 1 coach)

The amount orgs take depends on the contract. It could be less even 30-40%.

Regarding champ bundle revenue, as far as i know... if bundle generated $20,000,000, then only $10,000,000 is divided among the participating teams. The other half $10,000,000 is RIOT's cut from the revenue. i might be wrong here.

The champs bundle revenue also doesn't necessarily go to the players. I know in 2021 we had some hard numbers on some of the orgs, some took up to 70 or even 90% of the revenue. I don't know how much EG takes.

It’s one thing for 1 player to ask salary increase, different story when 5 or 9 players ALL ask for salary increase at the same time.
