CHAMPS VIEWERSHIP

LOUD has been hard carrying the viewership in this tournament, i think 6 out of 6 matches played by LOUD so far are the most popular matches by peak viewers.
Do you guys think that if LOUD doesn't goes to finals we can still beat peak viewership of last champions LOUDxOptic - 1 505 804?

If it's not LOUD in the finals which teams do you guys think could put up numbers to surpass that?

Didn't Val viewership drop off a cliff this year anyway?

Highly unlikely a new record will be set if that's the case.

No lol, Tokyo viewership was a few tens of thousands more on Average than the previous Masters event, and that's with a big loss from the western hemisphere which had more difficulty watching the matches due to timezone

Just took a Google and I don't know about Tokyo but apparently the group stage of champs this year was a 25% drop compared to 2022 champs. Don't think any playoffs stats are out at all.

Oh yeah I didn't even check Champs, you're right. I'd still put it partially down to the timezone issue though, because, especially on matchdays with 3 games, APAC and EMEA viewership drops a lot after the first match due to the timezones

Its midnight and beyond from the Indian Subcontinent to all the way in Japan when the matches usually start so thats a considerable loss in viewership

In this case you should compare group stage 2023 to group stage 2022, not to the whole event viewership.

I think a lot of it personally is the insane team popularity fall off since franchising. America's and EMEA had half their teams split up or not get picked up because of it

Like this year it seems as though everyone in Americas supports either LOUD, EG, NRG or KRU. In EMEA it's basically Fnatic, Liquid and NaVi.

Last year you had people supporting Guild, SEN, G2, SMB, C9, FaZe, TSM, Acend, Heretics. Not that many of the teams were good but at least one yet were still competing. I have yet to see a single fan of Karmine Corp.

That is groups 2023 to groups 2022.

I can imagine but at the same time it is not possible to have a perfect time schedule, anywhere that they place the tournament there will be viewership loss due to timezone.

The record will not be broken
If loud go to finals , then peak will be 1.3 max
If they don't go then 1.1 m peak

how much of the CN viewership do they count? Last champs there were more Americas teams which could result in a drop in the viewership during the group stage
