no derke fucking owns Deffo and it isnt even close. Doesn't matter how good Chronicle,Nats,Sheydos is when your IGL is Redgar and your main entry player is deffo. Boaster just out calls them and Derke just hard diffs them. Thats not even considering how Alfa is on the same lvl as Nats, Leo is just as good as chronicle. FNATIC would have fucking soulcas and still win cuz Gambits r playing a 3v5.
Boaster is legit the best IGL in the world rn, and even if redgar is a solid IGL doesnt change that d3ffo is kinda shit. I mean dude went to China cuz he coudnt compete with EMEA players and is still being farmed. A lot of the Gambit players fell off, while all of FNATIC players have gotten better and still look like they have room to improve.
he had health issues. Before that he was competing really well as long as his team was doing good. Individually he isnt great but an egoless duelist like him was a huge reason as to why Gambit worked so well. They were able to turn him into anything they wanted or needed in the moment without any hesitation. It allowed Gambits pace to change at a moments notice, it was crazy to watch at some points. Esp during the M3C short era
feel like anyone who watches Fnatic play can realize, they don't win because boaster is an amazing igl their entire team is just incredibly self sufficient which is to the counter of your point
d3ff0 played with 90 ping and a back injury in china bro he was improving by the time M3C was falling apart, and again d3ff0 is a role man he creates space, awps and thats it not many do it better.
Boaster being the best igl is debatable, don't really think he's not but theres just no proof or way for a fan to decide whos the best igl and just watching fnatic they don't have anywhere near as good of a meta read as EG and they were being outcalled by EG and still winning because their fundamentals are what wins not calling
you gotta have a level of understanding of the game that gambits main focus and star was nats and that every single round they worked to funnel players to nats, redgar is the reason they were able to force opposing players into nats. can't really give credit to boaster for alfa chronicle leo and derke having perfect spacing thats a coaching thing
100% theyd beat gambit but something i dont see enough people realize is that both gambit and sen would be in the top 10 of teams in the current landscape of the game. I mean there are so many teams that wouldnt even be able to compete with them like TL, FPX, Kru (...maybe), and theres 1 more im forgetting.
Those 2 teams were the KINGS of fundamental game and simple plans and strats. They never overcomplicated shit and were able to always be really consistently good. Thats why FNC are dominating rn. Its not like they have PRX level set plays, or FNS and Saadhak level counters, but by playing the fundamental game to perfection youre already better than 90% of teams that are tier 1.
