So i'm kinda new to Valorant, why does China gets 3 slots to champions? shouldn't Asia be a single region like EMEA and Americas, does it have anything to do with the fact that Riot is owned by a Chinese company?
blitzz_ [#2]Val was just recently launched in China, riot gave them 3 slots to increase exposure for the region and give the players international experience
Tencent probably has something to do with it, makes no sense giving 3 spots to the most prestigious tournament of the year just because the game was recently released there, that's unfair as f with other regions that need to fight with teams from multiple countries for spots.

They have years of inexperience compared to other regions they are just trying to jump start the scene. How do you expect their scene to grow when they only get one team to cheer for, with how big the Chinese scene could be for this game it’s only helping in the long run. Besides #2 Chinese seed looks better than most LCQ teams and some, who knows how they approach it in the future but complaining about them trying to keep the scene alive/grow is ridiculous. Pacific and Americas still have 4 slots and EMEA still had 5. It’s not like the level of competitive gameplay was brought down (besides FPX but look at T1 even) doubt Riot all you please but they made League into what it is

China has almost twice as much players in the event than the second country with most players, and they arent even good, no way that's fair.

“As the second country with the most players” China will have more players in no time. Yet they still dogging on teams pipe down lil bro EDG/BLG clear FUR and MIBR

If they are good and "clear teams" from other regions like you said then i'm sure that they can qualify through the Asian qualifier, btw as it stands right now not a single chinese team qualified, so 3 wasted spots.
Chinese esports scene grows really fast, you can take league for example, similar thing happened, Riot is banking on that from an economics pov. There's a lot of potential for growth in China after the game got released there, more than half of the league players base is Chinese, so it stands to reason if it follows a similar trajectory as league that valorant will also have a big player base in CN (I don't think it will ever be as dominant as league, but it will be very competitive).
Also it's just good for CN teams to get experience internationally, otherwise you'll constantly get the one steamroller team consistently learning from squads around the world while all the other CN teams are playing their own game.

Fraud/Fraud wont clear Fur nor MIBR. Only thing they are clearing is their luggages to head to the airport

definitely but riot is trying to reach out to different regions and have valorant grow in them such as having lock in in brazil or having VCT pacific be based in Korea. And with Shanghai masters

EDG are expected to get into playoffs, also BLG is facing NRG in a rematch where they 2-0'd them before.
Yes EDG would surely qualify through asian qualifiers the point is more that china has potential to grow into a region that on itself can keep up with americas/EMEA/pacific

That makes no sense, they could get experience by playing APAC like the rest of Asian teams, ask teams from the other Asian countries if they think that its fair that China gets the same amount of slots as them.

20iq take, by that logic give India 5 slots.

Good try to take my comment out of context and make it seem wrong. You don't even know what you wrote on your last comment.
