watching IEM cologne and the corwd is insane. sold out arena for the first game and theres beatiful men and women in the crowd all looking lively and happy! valorant crowds are no where close to this... truth hurts.
capital_d_colon [#2]Tokyo crowd was good imo.
Creating a crowd culture and hype takes time.
Just remember that they have been holding csgo events in cologne since 2014.
tokyo crowd was so boring. literally everyone is cheering for BOTH teams thats so weird. lock in crowd was better at least the fans had passion

val isn't really that young anymore
Kkonakorner [#4]val isn't really that young anymore
you are comparing it to a game which has decades of history and in comparison to that val looks like a baby.

To be fair, although it came out in 2020, we had crowds late last year.

many esports have had way more impressive crowds at the same age, it really doesn't need "decades of history"

its just an explanation as to why the csgo crowds are better
firefirefirefire [#11]EMEAfrog pretending to be American and is a csjoe on a Valorant forum, i wonder how many people you baited and if your time was worth the effort
I am portland oregon born and raised. also i am a fan of both games.

I think that is fair to say.
I would also say, atleast for emea val, the top teams and the good fan-groups doesn't have a good overlap.
The likes of the "blue wall" , "golden hornets" or even "the green suits" haven't been able to support their team at an event yet.
FNC and Liquid for example are top teams with good online presence but they don't have the fan culture that some of the french or spanish teams have.
