tbf Riot needed to build a ton of new shit for them because of gov petty restrictions.

They also have a lot of orgs there that are big names. Wouldn't really make sense to combine them with the Pacific league and only keep like EDG and FPX.

^^ china as a region already has like 4-ish decent teams and the league is going to keep growing cause big esports orgs like jdg (who aren't in valorant yet) have been looking into buying their own teams (pushing them into pacific immediately fucks over pacific lol)
