We're looking for writers! VLR.gg is looking to add additional writers to its team, specifically writers to focus on Chinese event coverage and breaking news coverage.
While there are no specific time demands or minimum hours, we expect anyone applying to generally be a) available at the times Chinese tournaments typically take place, and/or b) around often enough to regularly pick up news stories immediately after they break.
Anyone applying should be fully fluent in written English. Dialect of English doesn't matter.
Our writers are freelance, and therefore paid by the article.
Anyone we accept will be trained by our editors on how to write in VLR style and publish stories to our site. We will also work with the writer on improvement over time through edits and feedback.
If you're interested, email spryt@vlr.gg with a short blurb about yourself and what you're interested in writing, your Discord ID, your VLR account name, and attach at least one sample. A sample of some kind of feature or recap piece is required, although we also encourage you to write a sample of a short news article if you're interested in breaking news coverage.
We will be as timely as possible in reviewing people, but it may take some time and we unfortunately will not be able to respond to everyone.
