I just wanted to know how dafaq the most consistent team in the history of Valorant, didn’t make it into franchising? Is optic that bad of an org?
Riot made it clear that they were prioritizing relationships and longevity with franchising, both thing optic kinda lack in.
They sold their LCS spot and although they look a LOT more stable now, pretty much when riot was deciding orgs optic just did a merger and changed CEOS (not to mention their unstable history). Sucks but it definitely wasnt out of no where. They definitely fumbled viewership-wise tho having both sen and optic wouldve been crazy for the scene.
Its important to realize that the decision was made entirely based on the org, not the roster (even if optic made it in the roster would not have stayed)
emirerays [#3]Fpx did not make it either bro, instead heretics giants bbl kc koi have made it. Is this e sports or a twitch stream ?
well FPX plan was always China tho(they are a Chinese org?)
CanadianLegend [#4]well FPX plan was always China tho(they are a Chinese org?)
That has nothing to do with it. They have been in eu at valorant since 2020. G2 is not a na org but they were gonna get spot but thanks to carlos they didnt.

What are you on, FPX made it, just with a Chinese roster
emirerays [#7]There were 3 things that they were looking at.
1 how long this org has been in e sports
2 how long this org has been in valorant
3 clout
You're kinda right but how does it explain RRQ and KOI like nobody knows who they are lol.

rrq is really popular in the mobile scene and koi is koi

RRQ are big in Mobile games and KOI is Ibai's org, biggest Spanish streamer in the world.

not Valorant - but their relationship with Riot in general with LoL mightve been a factor

You can argue that FPX would make more money and other stuff with a Chinese roster when it’s integrated

I think only Marved wanted a break but other than that all Optic players wanted to stay together.

No they did not lmao. Then bilibili gaming did too xd

Koi has clout because of pique and ibai and i assume rrq has clout ? Idk
kskm [#13]not Valorant - but their relationship with Riot in general with LoL mightve been a factor
this, that's why dfm got a spot (beside cr fucked up their paper)
