TLDR: I admit he is mechanically good, not as much so tactically, but he isn’t good enough to deserve spots over others, especially considering his unfortunate personality.
I respect your request for real discussion, so I won’t say anything concerning my sheer opinion. However, I personally don’t think he deserves a spot in a high-level team, ESPECIALLY not a franchised one. There are plenty of players more valuable, more skilled, etc than him and they don’t have a spot. That’s not the biggest problem though, which I feel is his godawful personality. He’s cocky, he talks incredible baseless shit, etc, and the some of the worst of him was shown already. I don’t know if you heard about it, but a while after he was dropped from TSM, he went on this baseless, rage and hate filled rant about the pros. He’d say shit about how he’s better than them, they’re shit, they can’t play the game “right”, et cetera. In my view, I have only ever seen him being a douchebag, and I truly don’t understand how someone could be a fan of him for anything that isn’t gameplay.
Sure, he’s good at numbers and aim, but does it matter if he can’t appreciate his teammates and work with them? Is he even GOOD at those agents or are the resulting frags just because he can aim despite the agent?
I just think there are other players who need to get their chance before Wardell does. He had his chance, he fumbled it and fell off, and some others I’d consider to be better never even got the same chance he did.
