Does Valorant have many cheaters? Like to the point where you semi-regularly get in games with/against cheaters?

In CSGO, the cheating situation is fucking crazy right now.
I know Valorant apparently has a more advanced and intrusive anticheat that is supposed to be a lot stronger than VAC.
I am just wondering if it gives results?

And knowing that the Valorant anti-cheat is way more intrusive and a way bigger invasion of privacy compared to anticheats like VAC, do you like it as it is?
Do you think it's worth to have that kind of anti-cheat, if it results in way less cheaters?

I would be interested to hear this, because I think CSGO should implement a similar anti-cheat but there are so many people who say stuff like "Valorant still has plenty of cheaters" or "no one wants that spyware on their PC" and shit like that.

I mean at least, there aren't as much blatant cheaters like in CS MM, CS MM are full of spinbot, wall hack, aim bot

in my ~600-700 hours in the game. I once encountered game ended in "cheater found" message. And once Ive encountered player whos crosshair movement were so weird Im 95% sure he was a cheater.
So the answer is no - there is almost no cheaters in Valorant atm. And vanguard is wonderful

Tbh I'd leave CSGO for Valorant instantly but the gameplay is just not appealing to me

Everything else is there tho... The anti-cheat, the 128 tick, the regular updates...

Don't listen to anybody here saying blanket statements without actually providing credible data to support their thesis.

Below is an article link that shows vanguard lead dev Paul Chamberlain tweeting how the anti-cheat heavily relies on the player base submitting cheat reports -which approximately 97% players DONT do . Paul continues to say there's likely a vast amount of current cheaters unnoticed by vanguard who are not subjected to manual reviews because they are not flagged in the first place via player report.

As for bypassing the HID ban, it is not that difficult to find various spoof methodologies online. There are private communities in forums dedicated to cheating evasion. Apparently, its common for coders to test the efficacy of their new script and code at local libraries/ Internet cafes. Some of these people even go as far as to purchase new pc components only to use the return policy loophole to renew their pc hardware for free after they are banned. One comment shows a user 'Rainman116' proving they have been banned multiple times and still play the game. Said user also uses a 'stream proof' cheat for Valorant essentially hiding the cheat software menu from stream/recording services such as Youtube or Twitch.

One can also manually change their own HID although I'm personally unfamiliar with the complexity of this process. This video instructs how to do it exactly.

In conclusion, I would not trust the 'general consensus' regarding cheater frequencies categorically by rank, as even Riot admitted themselves, there are many unknown cheaters not accounted for.

occasionally see cheaters in high immortal rank, but i get a lot of notifications saying that a player i recently reported has been banned. so while there are definitely cheaters, they do get banned at a much higher rate i think.

csgo is fucked, i love the game and i think its actually better/more fun to play than valorant, but even on faceit NA servers you get matched vs chinese 5 stacks with 80% HS, 2.5kd over last 20 games prefiring random angles that dont exist.

okay but if you ever play the game though you see someone do something that seems like cheating maybe once every 100 games so like idc if there are unknown cheaters if they play at the same level as normal players

So you don't care if Joe schmoe down the road got to your position by deliberate fraudulent fluke i.e forging documents of credentials and is now competing with you for your future placement of higher echelon? While you made it there through hard work trial and error? Your vague language inclines me to believe you lack certain critical judgment or don't actually know what to 'look for' when cheater spotting as contrary to your own submitted belief, it is incredibly imperative for the cheater to 'appear normal' so they prolong their violation lifespan by avoiding suspicion and account flagging through the report system. This is akin to basic criminology, delinquents will attempt to blend within the masses to avoid being suspect and inevitably incarcerated. Anecdotes don't qualify as supporting empirical evidence.

The lack of a replay system surely helps to the subtle cheaters that isn't as obvious as Spinbot/wallhackers/Rage aimbot goes freely and undetected.

But as far as the ones called "rage cheaters" (the ones I said before), Valorant is light years ahead of CS.

Of course, a recent and improved engine and a intrusive AC surely helps.

They do have a reply system, but only riot can use it
