m80 confirmed for ascension playoffs

because TTR, 9th place, got 5 points and would max out at 30 points even if they won split 2, m80 is guaranteed ascension playoffs even if they don't show up as they currently have 30 points and get 1 point just for showing up to split 2

10th,11th,12th, obv have less points so m80 have guaranteed 8th+ and will play in the playoff tourney (top 2 teams go to ascension tourney alongside top 2 LATAM, and BR, winner goes to franchising) // even if they literally went on vacation for split 2 (playing for seeding)

obv they 99.9% wouldve anyway but neat to see they are the first guaranteed lock regardless of like idk m80 facility literally getting emp grenades for 2 months

myb title should be challenger playoffs not ascension xD

The respective challengers leagues are playing for a spot in the ascension tournament; top teams from NA, BR, LATAM will play in ascension. M80 has already secured their spot in the ascension tournament with the amount of points they’ve accumulated so far

thats not how the ascension qualification works. its whoever makes top 2 in the challengers playoffs that qualifiers for the ascension LAN.

well its not totally confirmed but basically on the valorantesports.com, it says "Each Challenger split will culminate in a playoff tournament where a single team will be crowned as that league’s champion!"

a team could theoretically win Challengers by points without winning Challengers Playoffs tho right? So why would they not be the champion instead of the winner by points? thats how i came to this conclusion.

"The Challengers League playoffs will consist of a double-elimination bracket where all matches will continue to be Bo3 until the Grand Finals, which will be a Bo5. The top two teams will join the Ascension Tournament."
