Every other player like Rose, Hyphae , baila and Kiri all are high Ascendent to Immortal player and they are playing against High Immortal 3 or Radiant. We all can see the aim diff in their matches. I don't know why GE didn't put a Rank Cap while selecting them As they did while they did open tryouts for Main squad .

I know Rank doesn't matter in pro play but It implies only when you are atleast Immortal 3

And trust me Playing ranked with Baila And Hyphae was a nightmare they don't use comms, Always Type GG in chat coz they can't hold a Site And Bottomfrag.

And why is that a bad thing? I get outside/import experience is a hot commodity nowadays, but what's wrong with trying to cultivate and develop local talent? Is it looked down upon or what? I thought you guys have pride in wanting a full Indian roster?

Nah you didn't got my point, dev talent is good but i am sure anyone underperforms for like month they will not do roster changes come what may stagnating the growth of actual talents. Ge is known for keeping their rosters as it is since the announcement for some reason 😓

Gen.G doesn't have an academy roster, but they do have an actual talent academy. DRX is recruiting players for their Prospect (Academy) team, but historically it's been barebones. Academy teams work when you have the solid footing and investment to further scout for talents. It's also a bit hard when Academy teams aren't allowed to participate in Challengers, so they'll have to rely on third-party tournaments.

And guess what south asia has highest 3rd party tourneys i wonder where does the problem lie as pretty much for upcoming 3 years nodwin fixed the orgs that are bound to play in challengers so ofc your academy product will be bound to be picked by one of them if you are not using him for franchise

Academy rosters barely take huge investments beside scouting, but guess what they literally did 1 scouting before need to look back and call some promising talents and they already have zephe (14 y old prodigy)You just need to pickup 5 really young players and provide them already made mumbai bootcamp as main ge will be in korea. Even if one talent like juicy/daryeon/kadoom comes out of that academy team all costs gets covered as he will provide much needed ' an Indian talent' value to main roster. Not to mention 3rd party tourney wins, and buyouts for players that graduate the academy.moreover The owner himself dreams of a full Indian roter one day. Seeds sown today will give fruit someday

We already have one Academy project ROG academy when it was coached by HACKER (the coach) produced talents that defeated veterans like marzil and gods reign(psy). They also thrived in the scene easily by playing multiple 3rd party lans and tourneys

That I can't deny. I'm not disagreeing with you at all. I've followed ROG Academy and it looked like a great program. I'm not opposed to the idea of more academy teams (as I want an Academy system to thrive like LoL in EMEA and to a certain extent the LCS), I'm just saying that there are chances that teams and organizations might be focusing on other aspects and not seeing making a full-fledged academy team as a priority.

Agreed but Ge of all needs it most ofc teams like rrq ts need not to worry as their country has good talent to pickup from so it is not a priority but an org like GE surely needs it on the list but the owner says riot does not allow any academy project which is possibly wrong

global esports gc players skill sealing is low except meow and muffin ge will most likely change the roster if new talent appears in india so chill most playoff gc teams are imm1 and only sapphire og rrq and smg are immo3/radiant atleast gc scene for india is hopeful unlike our normal valo league where we did not even make to playoffs once ge phoenix is doing better than most indian mainstream valo teams

they are just a month old and looking good to be in 5/6 position in their first tournament muffin and meow can play against g2 and v1 even now with good coach they may not win but they will not lose badly like mainstream league(men indirectly) where ge vlt couldn't do jack shit to even sea t2 teams

By learning. Participating in tournaments, events, playing scrims, and reviewing VODs. I'm not putting any pressure on Phoenix just because you know that Global Esports are willing to invest in a collective roster that had impressed the staff and management in tryouts, and is willing to grow alongside them. The aim of the competition is to win, but an accomplishment of learning means much more than trying to immediately win, especially when you are starting fresh like Phoenix is.

Hyphae is good and shes immo 2 iirc, what are you talking about? Rose is the IGL and she's fine imo. Kiri definitely needs to improve a lot.

Also idk about baila but ive played with hyphae once, she was comming the entire game
