i just want to vent a little after that loss lol

but suggest hasn't done anything in 2022 either, he barely did anything since nuturn's run but for some reason everyone thinks he's some sort of god. people were shitting on anthem but that man carried reject in japan to the fourth best team. even seoldam was incredible on northeption, he was the first to make people believe japan could be a good region. they have the potential. suggest has done nothing of the sort. his best accomplishment is playing second fiddle to lakia.

drop suggest for some cracked japan zoomer (so comms are better too) and dfm makes it to masters ong

if you think i am incorrect i respect your opinion let's have a civilized discussion here as to why.

They should just pick two Russian demons like Something since they have two Japanese players how can speak English well.

yes but i think japanese players may be ideal because then they can speak japanese and comms are better. not sure how the rest of the team besides xnfri fares when it comes to speaking english.

the problem is that there's no good duelist in Japan at all the few that exist are already in a good teams
many duelists demon from Japan when they join a T1-T2 team they somehow lose their confident and start playing flex or some other role, it even happened with XdLL (He has in ZETA last year) xdll used to be a jett demon but now he switched to another role
now he's playing flex-iniciator

as far as i am aware they count towards europe. i believe two out of region players is the limit per team? can someone confirm/correct me?

there is actually a restriction on how many you can have on a team lol. but also i'm talking about improving dfm as opposed to creating some other team.

Based on the play today, Suggest made a lot mistakes as Breach and KAY/O. He's also not careful about his surroundings. I can point out to where he did a late stun before xnfri to peek but xnfri died to it. Traded but they still lost the round. About not being careful, he seemed clueless (he did this a lot if you were to watch it again) like, bro... you're in-game right now, are you daydreaming or something? I believe that he's not comfortable with his role. He's more of a sentinel player rather than an initiator. Breach and KAY/O are just hard to play imo.

Well, he has the chance to prove himself in Pacific league.

the thing is there are even games in early 2022 of him playing with breach and kayo, he's definitely gotten enough time to adjust to these agents and the fact that he's still making these mistakes? it's hard to believe.

maybe it's just about the pressure or the 'bond' between the team. I feel like initiator needs to communicate a lot so maybe that was the cause of this problem. it's just pure assumption from me though but well... it is what it is.

yes but i do think that may have been a consequence of lower rated players + them setting him up to succeed as opposed to now where i think it would be more seoldam centered? he's got players like xnfri and reita on his team that he didn't have before so maybe it makes the gap in skill more apparent? i hate saying these things when it just feels like i am tearing players down but it could be true...

might just be me living in the past but i hate to see how low suggest performed especially with how good he was on the old dng with hsk :( maybe he just works better under korean igls? flex suggest was his prime form and id like to see him branch back out into a duelist-sentinel hybrid

first off, russia is under emea even with vladivostok etc so they can only have one russian player

second, comms would be so chaotic if everyone isnt on the same page with either japanese or english

i would definitely believe it being a communication issue. #8 makes some good points about suggest not being careful enough with utility usage and i think that could be a consequence of a language issue for sure. i could be wrong but i do feel like most of his good performances on the old dng were with chamber? his kayo was fine but i don't ever remember his breach being good? i might be misremembering though.

if you go way back to the nuturn days, his breach was good
granted, it was 2021 where nobody knew to play breach outside of korea

on the old dng, he was the primary duelist but on the modern dfm theres also an issue of there…just not being a defined duelist at all times: suggest filled duelist at almost all parts of 2022 and imo he can fill any role well, however i count on him to come back better. definitely would be a comms thing more than anything and the adaptation from a korean igl (hsk/solo) to a japanese igl (reita)

yeah it might be a little too early for me to say this, i'm willing to give him another chance. i was just really frustrated after the loss and typed the post to vent haha

but yes a big issue is he was set up to succeed a lot more on dng as he was the primary duelist, but on dfm it shifts wildly between him, xnfri and seoldam. so i guess that adds to it?

i would have to agree, i really want this team to work, i'm just not seeing how it could right now. but i'll give them a chance, the format of this tournament is incredibly rough after all
