How does a buyout even work? Does money go to the player or just the org
I know the basics I just don't know if money goes to player, I saw on HLTV that a buyout I think es3tag had a buyout of 500K and he recived some money so I was confused.

buyout money goes to org because player is still signed to org with contract (org own them)
if contract expire then no buyout
salary is different
salary is org paying player

yep, one of the ways, some players go up in value if they perform well. So, if another org see's the player as "worth it", they'll go "fuck it we ball" and just pay for the buyout

well if skuba's buyout was considered to be ridiculous then it may have been near or within that range

I don't feel anything Knight do wrong that should be accused, respect your contract, even Skuba isn't crying

buyouts go to the team, however you can negotiate and get a percentage of your buyout

Ok that was what i was wondering about. On HLTV they talked about some players getting some money from their buyout

Knights gm said he was not gonna sell skuba and thats why when they were approached many times they might have said an absurd number

But why wouldn't they sell him? They weren't that good might as well make some money as long as it wasnt too much

Their wish. They can do whatever they want. Being bad doesnt they have to release their player.
