Valgod [#5]Covid regulations prevent them from making any sound?
Yeah, no chants, no screams. Masks must be used indoors regardless.

koromast [#7]well atleast they "cheer" both teams, if we can call that cheering
I don't understand this Valorant fans obsession with fans having to cheer for both teams
JiangLi [#9]you are linking an article from 2021 . This is almost 2023 now . Dont you know restrictions eased a while ago ? There were so many wc watchparties
I know I'm linking an article from 2021. Look at my history post. I'm just referencing one of the mentions of the regulations. I also know that some events are lifting the restriction, but it's as not widespread yet.
Valgod [#11]I don't understand this Valorant fans obsession with fans having to cheer for both teams

Scar98 [#30]Having covid restrictions in 2023 is just sad...
Japan isn't the fastest in adapting their regulations, but especially with the isolated case rising in some countries, I doubt from the government's perspective, they want to take the gamble.

The biggest wrestling event of Japan has just ease out to only 50% cheering capacity next year from originally none
so if event of that kind has the sentiment above going into 2023 = Yes, Restriction still exist for a major venue event
brobeans [#38]they show up and don’t boo the other teams. that’s better than EU and South America already
What's wrong with booing teams you don't like?

COVID is spreading again btw.
brobeans [#40]did u watch turkey champions?
People boo the team they want and cheer for the team they want. People shout, people clap, people sing. I'd rather watch the match from home than shoot those silly bubbles at each other.
TMosura [#31]Japan isn't the fastest in adapting their regulations, but especially with the isolated case rising in some countries, I doubt from the government's perspective, they want to take the gamble.
Why do East Asian countries have such strict covid regulations?
Their population is very ageing, much more severe ageing than Europe, their demographics of youth are fucked, still they protect oldies, i.e. people at risk from covid, at all costs? Purely from economic perspective, it's dumb, and it doesn't make demographic situation any better.
Maybe it will sound a bit cynical, but letting retired oldies die from covid would easen the future for employed youngsters who are in very much minority in Japan, who basically will have to carry the huge amount of retirees on their backs for decades to come.
SleepyBear [#36]who cars about your country, don't even have a team or T1 player
