what do you think is the problem with breeze as a map...i have my own opinions but i would like to hear community's opinion of breeze's design problems
copy pasted from a different thread about Breeze
it's not even the long sightlines really, it's how big the map is. every single part of it is too big and it's too much to cover, both for attackers and defenders. there's 5 places for the defenders to be watching so it's impossible for them to have presence everywhere without traps, and even then that's not much of a countermeasure. it's also way too easy to get flanked as an attacker for this same reason. most other maps have 4ish main chokes or areas to hold, allowing for defenders to at least have 2 people playing on one of them, and also reduces the risk of getting flanked as an attacker. breeze doesn't have this, and that's why it sucks to play.
Same lineups not to much room to flex agents especially smoke. Lurks are ridiculous the map is so spaced you can’t have something holding lurk you need someone mid. It’s just a mid map that no one really gets excited to play. Like has anyone ever said “ YES Breeze I was hoping for this map” just isn’t fun
VERY small chokes to enter sites and not much creativity in terms of exploring mid from teams leads it to be one of the most CT sided maps that we have in valorant currently. It was very heavily banned in Champions (64.7% of matches) and the teams that started defense on breeze won 55% of the time. We have been seeing this pattern a lot with maps where when a map starts to become heavily favored for CT, the ban rate of those maps start to skyrocket for teams. It has happened with Split, Ascent, and is now coming around to Breeze
