They aint lying, this shits addictive. Dont see myself spending a single dollar on it though. Got noelle and xingqiu from the gacha
i was addicted and i spent too many hours nd money on the game despite having constant 300 ping and 2 fps and crashes every 5 minutes on na servers on my ipod touch
i loved it but unfortunately after i worked so hard for months to get xiao i finally got him and not long after i got bored af of the game
glad i dont play anymore after seeing ilovefrozenblueberries bro its embarrassing and i never want to be seen as someone like him lol
funny how you two are comparing 2 different games, one is an mmorpg and one is a single player rpg. its just not comparable
people are calling it the same game just because they have similar graphics style is just dumb. reminded me when people called genshin is a zelda copy because some similar features when the gameplay mechanics is completely different
well thats what i said both are RPG(which makes them comparable) one makes you play for 15 minutes daily to farm 1/3rd of a wish, other is generous and fun in playing for long time. genshin overall has a better story animations and voice acting which i don't deny at all but the gameplay sucks after the 4 hrs story they give every 3 patch per region
It's probably an unpopular opinion, but I hate the "endgame content" the way ToF and some other gacha games do it. PvP arenas and rewards dependent on position on some kind of leaderboard in games where money can, and for whales will, buy you all the means you need to be on top if you choose so, while others just have to face how much better the payers are in PvP and they also get more rewards.
Sure, I know that it's "balanced" since all the characters are same level or some shit, but some characters are just way better, if the game will go the way how it is in China, some character and/or combinations WILL be infinitely better than others, it's really like only 1-2 comps are competitive at the same time as far as I know. But I guess everything gets added to standard banner after like 4 months of being limited, so that could negate it a bit, unless someone even more OP shows up at that time.
Don't forget that they have to make money. And if they give you all the SSR in the first 2 weeks or so of playing - that's a red flag, because most likely they will be powecrept, because they need to make players spend.
I still prefer it over genshin's open world nothing to beat once you are level 55 abyss is EZ af also the PVP makes all characters 6 stars so it's mostly skill-based.
well yes the standard characters are easy to get and aren't on the same level as the newer you can always get new ones just like genshin if you save. the only unfair advantage whales have is having cracked characters outside PVP but they help you kill bosses. also, does genshin have bosses? I pretty much one-shot boss and hilichurl alike no competition
Well, that's a late response, sorry to all the people for bumping this thread. I don't think it's mostly skill based, more of a "do you have all the characters for competitive comp", sure, you need to know how exactly they work, but still. Not even mentioning cheating problem. But that's a useless argument, to each their own.
Tbf, I kept Genshin interesting for me by not investing heavily in only 2 comps for clearing abyss, not a single character I have is even crowned. Because since the beginning I understood that grinding the same domain for a possibility that random will give you slightly better artifact to increase my "damage per screenshot" is not for me. Instead it's a playground of unique interactions between abilities, some even deemed useless by the meta players (hell, I used Kequing and Ember combo at one point by doing Ember ultimate and teleporting inside for overloads, which also deemed a useless reaction, but it was fun), so I would never understand the point of view of people who only played the game by grinding artifacts for their "Rational" and "Double hydro Hutao" or something and saw nothing more in game.
BUT, I do understand that people who wanted MMO or co-op from Genshin finally found the game that does it, even if it's a very poorly made game by a very greedy publisher. I do understand that some people find lack of powercreep in Genshin frustrating because they don't find a reason to pull for new units since they're "not definitely unarguably better than what I already have" because those players want numbers, not characters, and that's normal as well, to each their own. I just hope that one day ToF will either be fixed, polished, annoying time gates will be removed, cheating problem resolved (because being teleported out of arena to death is not fun, you know) or a really good game takes the niche of "multiplayer Genshin" in the future.
don't take any offence, if you like the game I have no issues I love the story part of genshin other than that it doesn't appeal to me.
I played for almost 2 yrs. I did have characters and I try to build many of them but honestly grinding domains just bores the shit out of me(i almost never use my daily resin unless I get a new character to build). It's not like I love just MMO's if genshin's single-player was any better I would play that every day, I don't go for the nerdy stuff but it's their choice yeah i just need harder content it feels so ez at ar 57. But what do I play for? the new characters are just hype for newer players because I am tired of building a hu tao for 1 yr straight, The hardest stuff is not hard anymore, the game only caters to toxic casual crybabies as the target audience.
for example its like opening valorant playing spike rush with jett once a day and finishing daily tasks and expecting us to log out after that. Now wouldn't you love to play a comp match after that, that's what my problem is nothing to do after literally the same things to do every day and for content(story) it's like 6 weeks for 2-4 hrs of good time also there are filler patches without quests too. The game does actually make people addicted to it by this mechanism somehow and when somebody complains about something it's the same community that stops them by saying " bro this game is literally free what more do you want"
sorry you had to read this BS but that's just how I feel about the game, as soon as I stopped playing I regretted so much for wasting my time doing " pudgy pyrotechnicians & emergency" everyday.
ToF is 🤢🤮don't tell me unironically like that game.
1) It's just a straight-up copy.
2) People think it's more generous while the character design/personality/story is just shit. I would rather have 1 genshin 5 star character whose background I really like than have 5 of these SSR chars with no actual substance.
3) It's an MMORPG but its designed more like genshin which is a single player first game with coop support. The devs themselves are confused what to do with this game.
I don't even have to say anything else about the game. The game died within a week of its launch. Didn't know people were still playing that game.
