Clearly this was a last second pick after the G2 situation. But it still baffles me that they were picked, Faze and TSM don’t have very good reputation so that makes sense but in time we will see.

NRG is a wealthy org with a pretty big fan base, OPTIC has had issues with RIOT in the past dropping out of league. TSM had a recent scandal, and XSET doesn’t have as big of a fan base as NRG or even EG. NRG making it over these 3 is no surprise
juugobr_ [#5]the guard would be so MUCH better than eviL clowns
trent, valyn, mce and saya would stick together 100%
Imagine they picked up Marved and keep Saya team would actually be crazy.

the guard wouldve been alot more interesting for valorant
its just what eg is doing in terms of LOL with an actual american roster and their diverse representation especially higher up. that gives them the edge

optic have gotten then sold franchising spots twice
blazennn [#9]made it to franchising and W streamer is still on the team. ill live
L streamer barely averages 6k, tenz >s0m

Which is fair, just the ownership of TGRD is amazing. They did pretty good in the Overwatch seen and still do well in the Call of Duty scene. I feel like there management is on par with EG

VinsmokeLaw [#14]EG weren't the last second pick, wasn't it MiBR
I mean G2 was going to pick up a NA team (XSET) so I just thought it would be a American team but they could do that being a Brazilian rep so idk
blazennn [#12]Which is fair, just the ownership of TGRD is amazing. They did pretty good in the Overwatch seen and still do well in the Call of Duty scene. I feel like there management is on par with EG
Yeah they do have very good ownership with OWL and CDL being based around Los Angeles.
Though it benefits eg that they have a better relationship with riot.
Slight issue with the guard is that they arent as well known as their branding is mainly diversified due to all those franchised teams requiring a certain naming format
VinsmokeLaw [#14]EG weren't the last second pick, wasn't it MiBR
no
eg joined franchising in g2's spot. mibr joined it alongside furia and loud naturally

kkkk tenz= goat + major winner kkk
EG was NOT a last second pick because G2 didn't make it, G2 was replaced by MiBR (which was previously rumored to be NiP), EG was confirmed from the start because of huge infrastructure, clean records, good relation with riot and huge financial backing.
As for The Guard, it was just because it's a new org which was formed just this year (not talking about the LA Gladiators brand) and has no history with riot, it just doesn't make sense to give them a slot over some LCS orgs. Exact same reason applied to XSET.
blazennn [#20]yay=goat
Tenz isn’t close to being the goat yet.

can you take a moment to appreciate how clouted TenZ is? he has so many damn fans because he's just SOOOOO good at the game!
I'll try to explain briefly why I think he is the best player in the world
Despite his insane aim and movement
The best way to know if a player is a good duelist is if they're the best on ONE main agent! This will prove that TenZ plays jett since he's simply the best jett in the world!
heat? nt (not tenz)
aspas? nt (not tenz)
xand? nt (not tenz)
yay? nt (not tenz)
cned? nt (not tenz)
scream? nt (not tenz)
d3ffo? nt (not tenz)
derke? nt (not tenz)
Thats why I think he is undoubtely the best player in the world. If RIOT by any means decides to nerf jett and shift the meta, TenZ will unleash his chamber on the rest of the world.
He is not killing 40+ per map because Ratzam tells TenZ that he can't change his mouse or sens during the game which really messes up flow... and lets be honest, every single duelist nowadays gets 20+ kills per map because team and setups are basically built around you, but SEN all try to make individual plays which prevents TenZ from DOMINATING.

More surprising was honestly NRG making partnerships than EG

Optic has scandals and uncertain ownership
blazennn [#13]yes but TGRD had a Overwatch team that was pretty established along with a good COD team. Both are good ORG’s that have proved a good amount in these past years.
eg its better team, they have good team in csgo and win ti5 dota in the past
AZNRiptide [#24]Optic has scandals and uncertain ownership
old ownership when h3cz sold to infinite. Org has been doing nothing but great things since infinite has been out of the picture.
kidnamedfinger [#23]More surprising was honestly NRG making partnerships than EG
NRG fanbase is way bigger than EG and it seems that was a huge factor.
