they shouldn't have built a strong roster to win the title but instead bulid a content creator team such as "shroud stewie tarik xqc hiko"and failed in the open qualifier, then they would get franchised. esports? what a joke.
turkey [#3]it has nothing to do with the roster clearly it’s just from a riot x org standpoint
srsly the amount of people who go "this team got no good results y r they in franchising?" is so annoying man. its all about MONEY
eGGERTZ [#7]same for Acend, rito signed with tier3 teams like koi giants karimine corp for fanbase. They literally have 0 succes this is so unfair.. Big L Riot. (ppl gonna downvote this but who cares truth is truth)
Cause they are looking for quality in orgs, not in roster. Acend is a tier 15 org that had to be created because RYE could not compete in VCT.
HockeyStick [#8]How do you think riot is gonna rent those fcking huge stadiums? Gather more viewership ? It is money related bro , performance does not matter because it is the org which is getting franchised not rosters,
"no but Optic played so well. they should get franchised" SMH
SigmaMale [#9]Fucking hell man I'm more mad at this than the champions result
bro riot isn't looking for good rosters, they're looking for good orgs

its all about org presence, money stability and other managements stuff. riot is partnering with the ORG, not the players. the orgs can sign any player they want later, and obviously orgs want the best players on their teams so dont worry

Acend is just a new org they just came out last year and they made insane succes? ( If they was a tier 15 org they wouldnt be first champions) What do you think determines the team's tier?

Thier history in esports, their fanbase, their infraestructure and sponsors

If you do not support the develop of the team, if you dont give support to team this sector will not gonna work.
Mkin11 [#16]Thier history in esports, their fanbase, their infraestructure and sponsors
yes, that's why there are few successful esports teams
ItsMeDio [#2]wdym?
they still can play in "asension tournament"
if you think OPTC is playing T2 and missing the kickoff tournament, you are crazy.
firo [#14]i really thought optic can make it esp since they did get enough clout from doing well in the tournys. even their yt content is good.
theyve got the most viewership this year as well
aylez [#20]if you think OPTC is playing T2 and missing the kickoff tournament, you are crazy.
they will dominate and rank up easily. the problem is that they waste 1 year
turkey [#3]it has nothing to do with the roster clearly it’s just from a riot x org standpoint
explain whay riot choose sentinels over optic
monitar [#25]explain whay riot choose sentinels over optic
I've heard it's because of OpTic's failed LCS tenure
DoubleWideSurpriseYeah [#23]they will dominate and rank up easily. the problem is that they waste 1 year
