Can you read my previous comment..? It's a little difficult to hear since TenZ reads it quickly, but he RESPONDS to the claim that "Optics are fucked if yay doesn't show up" or if Yay doesn't play consistently well, Optic is screwed. Tenz is claiming, "no, the team's success is dependent on Victor." How the hell does that mean: since Yay is constantly playing well, the team's success is determined on Victor successfully entrying??? The fact that that interpretation is the highest voted in this thread makes me lose hope for this website.

The only reason you arent able to get that interpretation is cause you have some sort of hatred for tenz and just want to make him out to be salty or jealous or smthng.
He starts out by saying "not necessarily" meaning he isnt completely disagreeing to it either. he then explains the roles that yay and vic play. and yeah if vic doesnt get entries or make enough space then yay wont be able to do what he's the best at which is holding angles with the op and punishing ppl in postplants or having impacts on his lurks. Also he was exclusively talking abt their attack where vic's role is definitely more important than yay. what is so hard to digest? also tenz has been complimenting yay throughout the watchparties too. idk why you are hellbent on making him look salty.

Because he is salty. He didn't have to lie so blatantly that Victor (arguably one of the weakest link in Optic) is the most impactful in the team just to appease his own role for Sentinels. He could have listed the benefits that the entire roster plays and provide insight what each individual does and that would have been a W take. It would get the point across that Yay wouldn't be where he was without his team without also undermining his achievements. But that wasn't TenZ's motivation clearly with this dumb take to compare him and Victor lmfao.

yeah so victor is entrying on defense and yay is lurking on defense? makes sense. also he literally says "on defense yay is holding down a site. and on attack..".
when did he say victor is more impactful? he said victor's role is more important in getting them to sites and making space. doesnt mean he is doing it well. let me rephrase it. if victor is popping off/getting traded properly on attack it is a signal that Optic's attack is going well. But if yay is getting kills on attack its not much of a signal that their attack is going well. rather its just yay getting the kills he always does. so Vic is more of a signal of them playing well than yay because of the roles they are playing. thats all.
the only reason youre making this a big deal is cause it was tenz who said it. every time optic gets brought up casters and analysts say the same thing. that yay will always put stats and play well so the x factor for the team is victor and if he pops off they win cleanly. also what did tenz say that undermined yay's achievements? he just listed out what yay does on attack and defense. yay does it better than anyone else which is why he is on top.
