i think an i7-10750H might be better, maybe even a lesser i7 than that

I've been using a GIGABYTE motherboard for almost a year now, and I gotta say you should definitely avoid one If you want your RGB to work correctly. Because RGB Fusion sucks. Just get something like ASUS or MSI

get ryzen 7 for 3070
edit:for game heavy ryzen better intel good for workstations
cheaper RAM available for same quality
x570 would be great for every high end build

it’s less than $60 where i live because big sale

it’s a gaming/workstation mix, would ryzen 7 still be better?

looks good, but i would get the sn770 instead of the firecuda and replace the case with something better like a phanteks p400a

also keep in mind that while the 12400f is better than ryzen 5600x/5800x in most gaming scenarios, it doesn't have as much 3d cache so cpu heavy games like valorant will perform worse

Like a ryzen 5/i5 is baseline for gaming, ryzen 7 can run any game available and a ryzen 9 would be an overkill for gaming.get ryzen 5 5600x (real cheap+3.6ghz) it will work great at 1080 to 1440

with that budget just buy a gaming laptop

idk why so many people hate on gaming laptops. it runs every game smoothly and doesnt melt unless you do something stupid with it like running 4 heavy games at once but there is no need for that it is cheaper, ticks all the boxes and is just more convenient imo.

Ignore people talking about valorant being cpu heavy, although it is, with the amount your spending literally any variation will get 300+ fps, focus on the non valorant games/ thing you want it to do
