Lfg
"Thank you legend blah blah..." and all that stuff
Now the rest
I don't think he's producing any value for G2 as a streamer. Besides, they don't really need those
ocelote himself has already stated keeping players on payroll is way more expensive than just letting them go, but he only does it to stay true to his ethics (something players should commit to as well since they're signing a contract)
he's definitely in talks with other orgs, he's getting picked up plus his G2 contract must be running out soon
Yeah but the question is does G2 really need to keep him for "content creation", because they've made it clear they don't
The last (and only) big content creator they've signed was Ibai in 2020. All their streamers are G2 proplayers streaming in their free time
G2 finds another player
Builds up his brand
Creates a following around him
Player eventually leaves
Repeat
Why'd they ever focus on someone's fanbase lol
You forgot the part where G2 doesn't give a fuck about any of that?
"Carlos knows that... KennyS on the bench because of the same reason" lmfao why you talking out of your ass. G2 wants to get rid of Mixwell ASAP
The only reason kennyS is on the bench is because no team is interested in him. Simple
Trying to portray G2 as some kind of streamers' org when kennyS started focusing on Twitch way after getting benched lmao
"because they wanna keep making money out of them by selling them"
-Orgs have to make money so they keep sustaining players, we can keep discussing this esports shithousery and so on, among other reasons.
-Players also want money, that's why they SIGN a contract they're obligated to fulfill, under their own responsibilities.
-Orgs don't want to pay kennyS' - massively reducted buyout% over the years, (he's basically free?) dk where you getting this "big" label from - because neither kennyS nor the org are profitting from it.
"streaming it's more a consequence"
Again, what makes you think Mixwell streaming twice a week with a barely noticeable G2 logo somewhat compensates his 30k monthly-salary, missing out on players, wasting time and winning 0 trophies?
I don't think you understand how the world works my friend
"Orgs don't want to pay kennyS' - massively reduced buyout% over the years, dk where you getting this "big" label from - because neither kennyS nor the org are profiting from it."
Why don't they fucking release him if what you are saying it's true, I can guarantee you that KennyS is not asking for the money in his contract cause he just wants to fucking go, G2 won't let that happen un til his contract it's over or someone buys him, it's literally a fact dude.
"Again, what makes you think Mixwell streaming twice a week with a barely noticeable G2 logo somewhat compensates his 30k monthly-salary, missing out on players, wasting time and winning 0 trophies?"
Because a fucking business doesn't care about what the players wanna do with their fucking careers, they want what's best for the business, and yes that is keeping the player knowing you can sell him for hundreds of thousands of dollars. Yes, Mixwell it's a top 10 players in esports with more interactions and yes that can be sold to sponsors dude, it's how world works
Bro how are you so guillible and what's this overly simplistic view...
Why don't they fucking release him if what you are saying it's true
What?
I can guarantee you that KennyS is not asking for the money in his contract cause he just wants to fucking go, G2 won't let that happen un til his contract it's over or someone buys him, it's literally a fact dude.
Alright kennyS manager.
Why are you conveniently ignoring the part where:
Imagine you're in a private meeting with a CEO paying you 50k monthly after buying you out for 300k, he says you're gonna play for the team for 1 and a half years, you discuss terms and conditions and you AGREE (by signing a contract)a
Now imagine something goes wrong 2 months later and you wish to step down.
Why should your pussy ass irresponsibility prevail over your GIVEN WORD and be the cause of greater losses just because you feel like it and you decided to violate the set terms and conditions you didn't comply at all?
You sure you understand how the real world works?
Because a fucking business doesn't care about what the players wanna do with their fucking careers
The only reason players have this careers to begin with is thanks to this business.
I don't get this point or how is it related to what I said.
We should really put this parasocial relationship with pro players aside. They're looking out for their best interest just like any other person out there.
So when a player does it: I'd like him to shag me
When the org providing him everything does it: eww
Regarding the last part, again, you fail to understand G2 doesn't give a fuck about any of those.
It's G2 who we talking about I don't care about other orgs
Mixwell produced 0 (ZERO) value for G2 as of now. How id that hard to understand
Even if he was the most talked-about player with 20million followers, you really think they'd hesitate to kick him out when that doesn't translate into trophies nor does it align with the org's ambitions or philosophy?
Bro
How can you think that a player like mixwell doesn't bring any value????? Ofc G2 wouldn't hesitate to kick him if he is not good enough, but kick him off the TEAM not the org dude, he has a contract and not using it is straight away giving money for free.
And yes that is exactly what I mean when I say a business doesn't care about the players. If no one wants to pay for him G2 is not gonna care if Mixwell really wants to compete, he's still gonna have to fulfill his time there
Org's budget is a topic that should be discussed with objective criteria and not under the oneself's perception.
Heretics have paid €40M for a spot in LEC (LoL European Championship), when 8/10 orgs suffer losses
Even regional, academy teams could afford any given player. Let's not act like "buyouts" are some sort of problem with them. That's on the players to begin with
If they believe in the system they're creating and they need a fitting piece, they'll go for it no matter what. They won't beat around the bush
So if [insert player] doesn't get picked up, is because they're not showing interest in him
That's just not true, and again I'm just gonna put a real example, many teams wanted Keloqz right after he was benched but non of them were willing to pay the ridiculous buy-out he had, and it wasn't until when at the end of the market G2 reportedly lowered the buyout to a tenth of what it was before when Heretics paid it, and even after the lowering it was too much for teams like MRS.
So yes, buyouts are a thing, and yes, G2 makes money out of them
