Now that Riot has announced integrating these “challengers ascension” tournaments into VCT, that begs the question, why did a lot of these orgs recently drop out of the val pro scene? Were they not aware of the plan that Riot had? It just seems so odd that a lot of orgs backed out of the Tier 2 Scene because it was dying, yet there’s a clear roadmap that Riot is now providing. Something doesn’t feel right.
Additionally, will we see a return of orgs like SoaR and Akrew, ones that had valorant teams but ended up dropping them?
