If you look at the viewership from stage 2 VCTs, the three largest regions in terms of viewership are currently are JP, TH, and KR. If I were Riot, these would be the three regions I'd try to prioritize as the 'biggest communities'. I think the best way Riot could split the slots is doing 6/6, half for KR/JP/CN and the other half for APAC/OCE/SA
oh yeah one more thing, ID, PH, MY/SG matches are still sub region matches to qualify for APAC, this especially won't garner as much attraction as it's way less important compared to KR as their circuit will instantly qualify for the international lan as more people especially foreigners would be interested. This on top of ID, TH, HKTW, VN, SA don't even have english streams says a lot abt unfairness of the data, this is comparing a qualifier to masters and a qualifier to a qualifier to masters. I was especially surprised about the SA numbers but after realizing that it's sub region matches it makes a lot of sense as a lot of SEA and SA countries like to watch their country teams vs others cause of national pride.
